first_img Share Monday, October 3, 2016 << Previous PostNext Post >> WestJet, Porter go pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month Travelweek Group center_img CALGARY — WestJet’s uniforms have a splash of pink for the month of October with the addition of a pink, custom-designed necktie and scarf in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF).Employees across the airline’s network purchased the limited edition neckwear, with 100% of the $45,000 dollars raised going to CBCF for breast cancer research, education, and support and information programs.WestJet uniforms for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.“Women represent more than half our workforce making breast cancer a cause worth supporting,” said Richard Bartrem, WestJet VP Marketing Communications.WestJet employees were also out in full force for the CIBC Run for the Cure. As a proud supporter and official airline of the CIBC Run for the Cure, WestJet employees, their families and friends came together on Oct. 2 to participate at 26 locations across the country, raising more than $40,000 for CBCF.
