CO to deal with open source legal issues

Karen Copenhaver is a partner at Choate, Hall &, a law firm in the United States of America, and he tells CIO’s story about a time when he hosted a seminar for a large company in. The purpose of this workshop is to help companies understand the fact that software developers are responsible for complying with company specific code rules. These specific work rules involve the use of open source, free code, and third party code.

Copenhaver thought the seminar was going well. However, the manager of the development department went on to find her, "these developers are not able to complete the development work that needs to be done every day, and worry about a lot of things, they always ask to help open or free resources".
